Together with the popular local ladies' a capella vocal group The Barbarettes, Waltham St Lawrence Silver Band put on a great show pegged to May the Fourth - Star Wars Day - at Twyford's Loddon Hall for that Saturday evening. The hall was full, and the audience joined in with a number of pieces.
The 2019 Waltham St. Lawrence Silver Band AGM was held on 23rd January.
Waltham Band's autumn concert, titled 'War and Peace' and pegged to the centenary of the 1918 Armistice, was staged at Waingels College, Woodley, on 27th October with a supporting programme by the Wokingham Choral Academy.

The 2017 exchange visit to Germany by WSL band was very successful, and included an appearance at the local Urfeld music festival
The band's 2016 AGM was held on 25th January at the Neville Hall.
The WSL band's 2016 AGM on 27th January voted to engage a new MD, and adopted a new constitution to be submitted with its application for charity commission registration.
The latest exchange between WSL and German partners Musikverein Friesheim took place over the bank holiday weekend 23-26 May 2015.
The Annual General Meeting of Waltham St. Lawrence Silver Band was held at the Neville Hall on 28th January 2015.
New band president, actress Wendy Craig, took up her post on 18th October, attending a concert arranged for the occasion.
The WSL Band 2014 AGM was held at the Neville Hall on 15th January, with about 20 members attending.
The 2012 WSL Band AGM was held at the Neville Hall on 21st November, followed by a brief rehearsal.
Early on the Saturday morning of 24th March, the band assembled in the studio at Theale Green Community School to start work on recording a CD. The disc marks the band's 125th anniversary (that was actually in 2011, but these things take time to organize, you know).
Waltham St. Lawrence Silver Band staged a "Concert for Jackie" at Hurst village hall on 13th November, in memory of our Bb Bass player Ken Morris's wife. Over £470 was raised in aid of Macmillan Nurses, Cancer Research UK and Maggie's Centre, Oxford.
The latest visit in the regular exchange between Waltham St. Lawrence Silver Band and our German partners Musikveirein Friesheim (MVF), from Erfstadt, near Cologne, took place between 16th and 19th July 2010.
For eight years up to the middle of 2011, Waltham St. Lawrence Silver band sponsored a young Indian and his community through the World Vision India Malda Area Development Programme.
