Waltham St. Lawrence Silver Band

The band will again be playing background music for tea on the lawn at WSL Parish Church on Sunday 23rd August

The band will be playing a one-hour programme of light music in the course of West London Aero Club's Members Day at White Waltham airfield. 

The band celebrates its 140th anniversary in 2026, and towards this will be holding a Barn Dance at Loddon Hall, Twyford, in the early evening of Sunday 20th September. We've booked a professional caller and his band, so it's all set for a great evening of fun for all the family. The bar will be available, and there will also be tea and other light refreshments. Come and join us to celebrate the band's birthday!

The band will play during the morning at the Royal East Berks Agricultural Association's annual Ploughing Match and Show, which this year is being held at Water Oakley. 

The band will present a traditional afternoon Christmas Concert at Twyford's Loddon Hall on Sunday 29 November, with co-performers the choir of Calcot Junior School, who have provided outstanding performances with us in the past. Details to follow.

As well as the Christmas Concert on 29th November, Christmas dates for the band will include street carolling on 2nd & 9th December and Carols Round the Pound on Wednesday 23rd. Provisional bookings include Hurst St Nicholas Night (6 December) and Old Windsor Christmas Fayre (13th December). An ensemble will be playing for the carol service at Cores End URC church in Bourne End.
