Hi I was just remeniscing about my school days and reflecting on what a big influence Steve Block had on my musical career - nice to find this site and see he is still engaging musically with the community and making a such difference with all his special enthusiasm and musicality. BW Lucy
Many thanks to Steve and the band members who played so brilliantly and with such passion at the Service of Thanksgiving for my late husband John in Cookham last weekend. Some of the pieces were tricky however you put time and effort into getting it just right. And as a result of your talent, we were rewarded with a stellar performance which made the service so memorable for all that were able to join us. Thank you very much.

Holyport Branch of The Royal British Legion
Please pass my thanks to the Band Members who played at both Bray and Holyport War Memorials on Remembrance Sunday. I received many favourable comments particularly on the march from Church to Bray War Memorial.

Thanks to all the band and the Barberettes for the brilliant Spring Concert on 4 May. Great music, huge fun. The Barberettes were having a ball and their enthusiasm was infectious, impossible not to sing along. Loved Steve Block's patter. I've been on a high ever since, truly over the moon!

WSL Parish Church
Please would you pass on my thanks, on behalf of the church, to the WSL Silver Band for playing for us twice recently, at Harvest and Remembrance?
The contribution made on both occassions, especially for Remembrance, was truly superb and very much appreciated by us all. Thanks to all who came along and to your director(s).
Hi folks and Doug Brickhill.
The band I am associated with, Gresley Colliery Brass Band, received a letter from a ‘Doug Brickhill’ from Tasmania requesting one of our cd’s. The letter took a long time to get to us and so we would like to contact Doug directly by email. So Doug if you read this can you contact me on firstname.lastname@example.org or if anyone can contact him please pass this message on. Thanks Tony Connor

Hi, I and an ancient disabled ex bandsman and likes to read UK band`s websites, after all that is what they are for, especially 12,000 miles away. Do you still have a CD made 24th March 2012? If so, please send me details as to cost and track list please.
Regards to all at Waltham Band.

Oxford & Yarnton Band
Many years ago I tried to enthuse my college friend John Midgley to like brass bands and failed miserably. More than 50 years later he now likes them, thanks to his son Ben in your band. In my own retirement I have taken up the Tenor Horn and play as the oldest player in our village's Yarnton Band.

Dave in Reading
I was at the Forbury bandstand in Reading on Sunday 7 September 2014 and very much enjoyed hearing the WSLSB play. The audience was a little larger than usual and perhaps more attentive too. The band played a large variety of styles and I particularly enjoyed the swing numbers. I'm no expert, but I thought that the band made a very "full" sound when they were playing forte. So, thank you very much, WSLSB, for the splendid entertainment you provided me and the many others on Sunday afternoon.
