Welcome to our new website
. A traditional British brass band in the heart of the East Berkshire countryside, Waltham St. Lawrence Band was founded in 1886, and continues to make a significant contribution to local events. We are a non-contesting band, open to players of all levels of ability who want to make music for pleasure and entertain the public. - A bandstand concert formed part of Reading's Heritage Day events. A very enjoyable play-out in the park. See News.
- Littlewick Green Show
- The weather stayed dry for the August Bank Holiday, and the band entertained a good crowd at the Littlewick Green Show near Maidenhead. See News.
- German exchange visit
- The band had a great trip to Germany in June, playing in the Schützenfest together with Musikverein Friesheim. See News.
Charity anniversary:
On 22nd May the band played at the garden party celebrating 400 years of the charity that owns the Bell Inn pub. See News.
Vacancies:
New players are welcome to join the band at any time. At the moment, we have a specific vacancy for Bb Bass, and a few more cornets would not go amiss. Come along for a blow (see Rehearsals for details) and see how you like us. Use the Contacts page form to enquire further.
