. A traditional British brass band in the heart of the East Berkshire countryside, Waltham St. Lawrence Band was founded in 1886, and continues to make a significant contribution to local events. We are a non-contesting band, open to players of all levels of ability who want to make music for pleasure and entertain the public. - Old folks' dinner
On 23rd February the band hosted the senior citizens' meal at the Neville Hall. A short concert was followed by a roast beef dinner and a cabaret performance.

Exchange visit to Germany:
The band is looking forward to another exchange visit to Friesheim, near Cologne, on 13-17 June. We will be participating in parades and concerts as part of the Schuetzenfest ("marksmen's festival"), together with the local band, Musikverein Friesheim.
Vacancies:
New players are welcome to join the band at any time. At the moment, we have specific vacancies for Soprano and Bb Bass. Come along for a blow (see Rehearsals for details) and see how you like us. Use the Contacts page form to enquire further.
